Aakash is one of the most innovative projects started by Indian Government. In 2011, the news went viral that students will get desi made tablet in juts Rs. 1,800/- For others, it was expected to be costed around Rs.3,000/- which is $60. After failure of 1st version, US based Datawind company is all set to launche Aakash's sequel Aakash 2 in august,2012. It will get Andorid 4.0 ICS ice cream sandwich.On the paper, Aakash which is also called ubislate is cheapest android tablet in the world.It was launched in 2011 & was created by datawind. The promising Aakash totally failed to deliver. It had some serious problems with its battery. Touch was not smooth at all. Android market & google Play was missing. After receiving so many complaints Aakash was not distributed & they started working on Aakash 2.
Aakash-Ubislate specifications
Newer version of aakash comes with 2GB flash storage, 800Mhz processor and 256 MB RAM. This can handle ICS very easily. There have been so many up gradation in terms of hardware which is really good for aakash. Another great news is that it comes with dual-core Cortex - A9 processor which is really great processor for aakah.
Many users pre ordered Aakash Last year they are likely to get Aakash 2.Datawind has worked with IIT Bombay for creating their tablet & it is likley to get much attention as well as than its previous versions.Reasons for the attention has to be ICS as the price of Rs.2,263 will make it, World's cheapest ICS tablet
